As a wedding videographer in Northern Ireland, I get to capture some incredible love stories – and Niamh + Eoin’s Killeavy Castle wedding was one for the books.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Killeavy Castle, Newry, their day was filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that make filming weddings so special. From the peaceful morning prep surrounded by family (and their adorable furbaby Rosie 🐾) to the emotional vows and the epic dance floor energy later on, every second told a beautiful story.
Working alongside Paul McGinty from Ghorm Photography made the day even better – his relaxed and natural approach matched my filming style perfectly, allowing us to capture genuine, unscripted emotion.
One of the standout details was the caterpillar wedding cake – a fun and nostalgic touch that had everyone smiling. Guests were also treated to disposable cameras placed around the venue, capturing candid moments from their own perspectives. Seeing everyone join in to document the day added a lovely, personal touch that perfectly complemented the wedding film.
The reception came alive with The Professionals Wedding Band, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. Every song brought another burst of energy, laughter, and joy – the kind of atmosphere that makes filming such a joy.
