Aoife & Ryan’s wedding at the breathtaking Harvey’s Point in Donegal was the kind of day every wedding videographer Northern Ireland dreams of capturing. From the moment I arrived, the calm atmosphere set the perfect tone for what would become a truly unforgettable celebration.
Because Aoife & Ryan married during the winter months, the light faded early and darkness had already settled by the time they arrived at Harvey’s. Even though it was already dark when the couple arrived at Harvey’s due to the winter light fading early, the venue still offered plenty of beautiful photo opportunities inside the hotel.
Harvey’s Point is incredibly versatile, and its warm ambient lighting, reflective surfaces and elegant interiors worked perfectly for both photography and video. It’s a venue that truly shines in every season.
I had the pleasure of capturing the day alongside Bradley Henderson, the main photographer, and Paula Donnelly, the second photographer. Their relaxed approach and strong attention to detail created a seamless flow throughout the day, allowing us to craft natural, authentic imagery without ever making the couple feel rushed.
Aoife & Ryan made a stylish entrance with Mid Ulster Limo’s impressive hummer hire, setting an energetic tone that carried through the entire day. After heartfelt speeches and emotional reactions from family and friends, the celebrations truly kicked off when The Tributes took to the stage. Their high-energy performance kept the dance floor full all night long — perfect for capturing those lively, cinematic evening shots.
What stood out most was the genuine connection between Aoife & Ryan. Every look, touch and small moment between them was effortless and sincere. As a wedding videographer Northern Ireland, these are exactly the moments I love capturing — the moments that make a film feel alive long after the day is over.
